Important Message from Mark Mohr from Christafari :

"Christ is Lord, and the only One that can save you.

Acts 4:12 "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."

Philippians 2:10-11 "That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

Ephesians 1:20-22 "Which He exerted in Christ when He raised him from the dead and seated Him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under His feet and appointed Him to be head over everything for the church,"

God Loves You.

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."

You are a sinner and this sin separates you from God.

Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,"

The punishment that you have earned for the sin you have committed is death and hell.

Romans 6:23a "For the wages of sin is death. . . "

God loves you SO much that He took your place, and died for you. He paid your price as a substitute.

Romans 5:8 "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

As sure as the Wages of sin are death, the FREE, yes, I said FREE gift of God is eternal life!

Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

You cannot earn this gift, or work to receive it in any way. You need only to receive it and believe in His name.

Romans 10:9-10 "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."

TODAY IS THE DAY FOR YOUR

SALVATION

DO NOT PUT IT OFF ANY LONGER

NO HESITATION

The Bible promises that all who call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13)

Do you desire to be saved from the punishment of your sin? Do you wish to have all of your sins forgiven and cleansed? Do you believe in Jesus and wish to make Lord and savior of your life? If so, I suggest that before you read any further please take a moment between you and God and consider the cost. Being a Christian is not an easy life by any means. Although you are promised many things as a newborn Christian, two that I cannot afford to leave out are suffering and persecution. It is not a bed of roses or a bowl of cherries. It is not a downhill slide, but rather an uphill climb. However, there is a major difference, for you now have Jesus as your best friend by your side. In fact, sometimes He even carries you. You also have the Holy Spirit inside of you, guiding you and comforting you. So now, please take a moment and count the cost as a builder would before he laid down the foundation for a house.

Are you are sure that you want to make Jesus Christ Lord of every aspect of your life? Do you desire to follow Him for all eternity? If so please eliminate all distractions and pray the following prayer with your heart focused on Jesus:

Jesus Christ I realize that I am a sinner.

I thank You Lord for dying on the cross for my sins.

Please forgive me of all my sins, and cleanse me of my unrighteousness.

Jesus I thank You for raising from the dead three days later.

In that same way please give me new life.

Holy Spirit come inside. Take control of every aspect of my life.

Jesus I make You Lord and Savior, help me to follow you all the days of my life.

I love You Lord, Amen.

If you just prayed the prayer above and truly meant it YOU ARE SAVED! For remember that "everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved." Congratulations! The Bible says that when even one person comes to Christ all of the angels in heaven rejoice. They are all having a party for you right now in heaven! You have just made the most important decision of your life. The gift that you have just received is irrevocable. You cannot lose it, and no one can ever take your salvation away from you. You can now rest assured that whenever you die, whether today, or in a hundred years you will go to heaven."

Day of Prayer - Dallas Texas May 15th 2005

Global Day of Prayer report

Millions to participate in Global Day of Prayer

DALLAS, Texas; Two of the nation's largest churches are spearheading efforts for the Global Day of Prayer on May 15 in an initiative that is crossing racial barriers and bringing millions of Christians together in prayer.

More than 75 U.S. cities are scheduled to take part in the Global Day of Prayer, an effort led by Bob Bakke, director of National Prayer Advance for the Evangelical Free Church in America. Bakke said he expects 200 million people to fill arenas and stadiums in 150 countries.

Bakke has made Dallas a model city for the effort, and said he chose the city to host the main U.S. event because of its widespread religious resources and talent. He said Dallas is taking its role seriously.

Two of Dallas's largest Christian churches one mostly black, one mostly white will lead an effort to bring more than 20,000 people to Reunion Arena in Dallas on May 15 for the event.

Bishop T.D. Jakes of the Potter's House in Dallas and the Rev. Jack Graham of Prestonwood Baptist Church in suburban Plano said they will work together to make the event happen. The congregations are two of the largest in the country.

It is a very significant initiative that brings together Christians from all walks of life, Jakes said at a press event to announce the cooperative effort.

Jakes nondenominational church has 28,000 members.

I was attracted to participate in it because not only is it an event, but I believe it will have a tremendous impact on the city of Dallas, he said.

Graham, a former Southern Baptist Convention president whose church has 23,000 members, said he was pleased that in the weeks prior to the event there would be days of compassion in which area churches would reach out to the poor, those in prison, and the disabled.

Graham said it was wrong to assume that conservative evangelical Christians care only about issues such as abortion and marriage.

We do care about those issues, he said. But that doesn't mean that evangelical Christians are not concerned about social justice, not concerned about economic development, not concerned about helping the poor and engaging communities in acts of love.

Highlights of the Dallas event will include participation by the Rev. Tony Evans of the 7,000-member Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas; an address by the Rev. Rick Warren, senior pastor of Saddleback Church in California and author of the best-selling Purpose-Driven Life and opportunities for participants to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, the Salvation Army, and other organizations.

Now you have accepted Jesus as your Savior - What Next ?

What Next?

Since you have now become born again, the following is a list of a few things that will help you in your new life as a Christian:

1.) Love God and love others.

2.) Tell someone. Tell a Christian friend or family member about your decision. They can help you through the next steps.

3.) Go to church. Find a local Christian church that you can start attending weekly.

4.) Get baptized. All believers are called to be baptized in water. Baptism is an outward expression of your inward conviction, and is a great way to let your family and friends know about the change in your life.

5.) Get discipled. Ask a pastor or church leader how you can get involved in a discipleship group. It is important that you get discipled.

6.) Read the Bible. Get a Bible and read it daily. It would be good to make a commitment to read the Bible everyday for six weeks. This will help you form a habit that will not be easily broken. You are like a new born baby and you need the milk of the Word in order to survive and grow. I would recommend that you start in the New Testament, preferably the book of John. This writing will tell you more about Jesus.

7.) Pray. Pray everyday. Praying is how we talk to God. Jesus loves you and desires to spend time with you. You can pray anywhere and any time, in fact the Bible says that we are to pray without ceasing. There are many ways to pray. A cool prayer outline that I have found useful is "A.C.T.S." It stands for:

Adoration: Tell Jesus how much you love and adore Him.

Confession: Confess your sins to Him, and ask His forgiveness.

Thanksgiving: Give thanks for everything that He has blessed you with.

Supplication: Present you requests before God. Pray for others and for yourself. Be specific. Although prayer should never be a shopping list, ask Him for what you need.

8.) Share Your Faith. Since God has delivered you, and given you salvation, share you faith with others. No matter how boring your story may seem, God can use your testimony in powerful ways to change the lives of others.

Lastly, please contact us and let us know of your decision so that we can rejoice with you and specifically pray for you.
